July 2025 updates – Faster Builds, Better Onboarding, Cluster Upgrade, Logging improvements and more

Hello from the NeetoDeploy team!

This month has been all about making NeetoDeploy and NeetoCI faster, smarter, and easier to use. We’ve rolled out major infrastructure upgrades, improved onboarding, made logs more accessible, and introduced new safeguards to keep your builds running smoothly. We’ve also made big strides on our billing and free tier workflows.

Here’s a look at what we’ve been up to.

Platform Upgrades

NeetoDeploy Cluster Upgrade (Phased Rollout)

We’re delivering a major cluster upgrade for NeetoDeploy. As part of a phased rollout, NeetoCI was upgraded first as a pilot, laying the groundwork for a more robust and scalable infrastructure. We successfully migrated both NeetoDeploy and NeetoCI from Kubernetes 1.30 to 1.31, keeping us aligned with the latest upstream releases for better performance, stability, and security.

Resolved Random SSL Certificate Issues

NeetoDeploy automatically renews SSL certificates for your apps. Some users occasionally experienced SSL issues — we tracked down and fixed the root cause, ensuring reliable certificate renewals.

Onboarding Enhancements

Revamped Review App Onboarding Flow

Review Apps now have an onboarding flow that mirrors production app onboarding, making the experience more intuitive and consistent.

Procfile no longer Mandatory

You can now define custom processes directly from the app dashboard without a Procfile. If a Procfile is present, its entries will still populate the process list automatically.

Build System Improvements

Build Time Optimization

We’ve updated the build node AMI so that essential images are preloaded when a node boots up. This will reduce build times — rollout is in progress.

Added Build Timeout

Builds that get stuck due to application-level issues will now time out automatically, preventing unnecessary resource consumption.

Improved Build Logs

We cleaned up build logs by customizing the Pack CLI and lifecycle image, removing noise and making logs easier to read.

Build Log Download Option

You can now download build logs as a text file from the dashboard, making it easier to debug and share issues.

Build Log & Release Failure Summary via Claude (POC Completed)

We ran a proof of concept using Claude to generate AI-powered summaries of build logs and release failures, helping users quickly understand issues.

Logging Enhancements

Addon Logs Now Available

You can now view logs for your addons (PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Redis, etc.) directly from the dashboard, alongside your application logs.

Billing System & Free Tier Updates

Invoice UI & PDF Revamp

We redesigned the invoice page for better clarity and updated the PDF invoices for a cleaner, more consistent look.

Free Tier Workflow

We’re introducing a $5 credit-based free tier for new organizations. When the credit runs out, apps will be paused. The next phase will add credit card integration to resume apps.

Looking Ahead

Next month, we’ll be:
